As you inhale, visualize energy rising from two feet beneath the earth, flowing up to the top of your head. Hold that energy for five seconds, then exhale, releasing the energy upward through the crown of your head.
Indoor Grounding: If you have access to a concrete floor indoors, you can achieve the same grounding effect. Stand or sit with your bare feet flat on the concrete and repeat the same breathing exercise. You may also like a grounding mat. These are great under a desk.
Mindful Visualization: Even if you're unable to physically touch the ground, you can still ground yourself mentally. Close your eyes, visualize your feet connected to the earth, and practice the same breathing technique.
